Timing (in Comics) by Joanna Estep
February 28, 2006
A book about timing in comics is being serialized in three parts on Newsarama. Called Timing, it is being authored by Joanna Estep. I got news of it by way of Scott McCloud’s blog, The Morning Improv. It’s a very quick, entertaining read which is, appropriately enough, well illustrated. I got through the whole thing in about two minutes, and I came away feeling like my attention had been better trained to notice details of time signals in comic panel layouts.
